Orientation Ceremony for the new students of Physiotherapy and Paramedical courses (Admission Batch 2021-22)

The Orientation Programme for the academic year 2021-22 began after the lamp lighting by Shri NK Tripathi (Vice-Chancellor, Malwanchal University), Dr. GS Patel (Dean, Index Medical College), Dr. BK Agrawal (PG Director, Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center), Mrs. Chitra Khirwadkar (Deputy Director, Administration), Shri RC Yadav (Additional Director, Administration and Student Welfare) and Dr. Reshma Khurana (Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences).
Shri NK Tripathi (Vice-Chancellor, Malwanchal University) addressed the Orientation Programme of new students of Paramedical Courses of Malwanchal University. The Orientation Programme was organized under the leadership of Dr. Reshma Khurana (Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences). Dr. GS Patel (Dean, Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center) and Dr. Satish Karandikar (Dean, Index Institute of Dental Sciences) graced the occasion with their presence.
Shri NK Tripathi (Vice-Chancellor, Malwanchal University) emphasized on the vital role played by the physiotherapists and the laboratory technicians in medical health services. He told the students to take pride in their chosen professional courses. He exhorted the students to use their energy of youth for the development of their overall personality. Students come with diverse thoughts, backgrounds and perceptions. Hence, it is important to help them adjust in the new environment and inculcate the ethos of the institution with a sense of larger purpose.
Dr GS Patel (Dean, Index Medical College) mentioned about the importance of core values like dedication and discipline. He also laid stress upon the importance of transcending knowledge into application for the betterment of the society. Having given the warm welcome to the students, he appealed the students to utilize maximum resources to the most of their capacity for academic enhancement.
Dr. Reshma Khurana (Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences) addressed the students and enlightened them to enhance their familiarity with the teaching faculty members, Index Campus, its facilities and a plethora of curricular and extra-curricular activities of the institution. She extended her gratitude to Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria (Chairman, Index Group of Institutions) for his unstinting support.
Mrs. Chitra Khirwadkar (Deputy Director, Administration) motivated the students and mentioned the importance of human values. She also spoke about the importance of spirituality and meditation in our lives.
The programme was brought to closure with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vaishali Patel (Teaching Faculty, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences). The Master of Ceremony was Dr. Payal Jain (Assistant Professor, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences).
