World Physiotherapy Day celebration with IAP Central Zone and IAPWC Central Zone

Dr Reshma Khurana, Principal of Index department of Physiotherapy and paramedical sciences always encourage our students to get involved in an assortment of delightful and valuable activities. All this leads to enriching the exposure and extensive awareness. Our Students always reach our high expectations.
On the Occasion of World Physiotherapy Day on 8th September 2022 symposium and felicitation ceremony were organized by IAP Central Zone and IAPWC Central Zone. All the renowned dignitaries Shri Shankar Lalwani ji (Member of Lok Sabha), Mr Pawan Jain (ADM, Indore) , Dr. D. K. Taneja ( renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon) and Founder Director of MGM Allied Health Sciences Institute (MAHSI) were present and through their speech they enlightened the crucial contribution of physiotherapists for healthy world.
Dr. Sanjiv K Jha, President of IAP explained in detail about soft tissue release and the technique and detailed information on the application of soft tissue release techniques to specific muscles and/or muscle groups.
Various Competitions took place during the event where the Index department of Physiotherapy and paramedical sciences won the prizes in the following categories

The Programmed ended with a huge success, enjoyable and knowledgeable with the great dinner and meet and greet.
World Physiotherapy Day celebration (Camp for Staff members at Index Hospital)

Physiotherapists can relieve your pain, when pills can't.
Physiotherapists give you hope, when you have the last one.
Physiotherapist make you get up from a wheelchair
Physiotherapists can keep you, fit healthy and strong."
World physiotherapy day takes place on 8th September every year. The theme of this year 2022 is Osteoarthritis and its physiotherapy treatment"
The day is observed to promote awareness about and recognition of the crucial contribution physiotherapists are making in the world by enabling people to be mobile, fit, and independent.
This day was an opportunity for our organization to recognize the work that physiotherapists do for their patients.
Keeping this thought, the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences organized various camps and activities on the theme of "Living well with Osteoarthritis". The camp was held at Index hospital for patients and staff members including doctors, administrative staffs, clerks, bus drivers, housekeeping and guards of the hospital.
The aim of this camp was to educate them about work related health issues and how it can be prevented.
The World Physiotherapy Day was graced by Guest of honour Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoriya chairman Index Group of Institution.
Dr. Reshma khurana, Principal, Index Department of physiotherapy and Paramedical sciences has facilitated Mr. Suresh Singh bhadoriya & Dr. Arpita Mishra facilitated Dr. G S Patel Dean , Index Medical College and lamp lightened the function .
Later the students of the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences performed nukkad natak to spread awareness towards physiotherapy.
The camp included thorough assessment, consultation, home regime exercises pamphlet pain relief techniques , customized exercises protocol and many more.
Dr. Ruchi saxena , Dr. Shivi Trivedi , Dr. Payal Jain , Dr. Vidhi Tiwari, Dr. Arpita Mishra and Dr.Vaishali Patel faculties and Students Of BPT intern , IV year, III year assessed and demonstrated exercises to staff members of Index Medical College hospital and Research Centre.
World Physiotherapy Day (Camp For old aged population at Jyoti Nivas)

It’s not just rehabilitation, it’s reliving.”
Index department of physiotherapy & paramedical sciences were organized a camp at Jyoti Nivas (Missionaries of charity) on the theme of “Living well with osteoarthritis” on the occasion World Physiotherapy day 2022.
The camp was focused on the arthritis changes occur during ageing. The session started with the speech of Dr.Reshma Khurana, Principal where she spoke about the importance of exercises for making healthy and fit elderly population.
Later on Nukad Natak played by our students to create awareness about the arthritis changes and its consequences amongst the elderly group and importance of exercise for their healthy life. And then group therapy with general exercises was performed.
Then our students categorized their stations according to their problem area like knee, neck and back each station includes thorough assessment of the patient, consultation and demonstration of individualized exercise with pamphlets were given to the patient.
The Camp is ended by cake cutting ceremony by members of Jyoti Niwas and Dr.Reshma Khurana,Principal,Index department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences.
