January 23, 2021, marked the 125th birth anniversary of Indian nationalist and one of the greatest freedom fighters who fought for the country, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. To honour him and his contribution to the freedom struggle of India, the Central Government had announced January 23rd as Parakram Diwas, beginning from 2021.




National Unity Day

India is a secular country with diversified cultures and significances in its own kind. As an Endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification. Index Department of physiotherapy & Paramedical sciences celebrated the birth anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October 2020 as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy & paramedical sciences, she gave an insight into the life history and the role of Sardar Patel in the freedom struggle to establish a harmonious society.

The occasion reaffirmed the importance of unity, integrity and security amongst the students and the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand any actual and potential threats which may affect us on the whole.

In the end, she took an oath to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation in the spirit of unification of the county.




Breast Cancer Awareness Month

"Early detection can save lives"

Breast cancer awareness program was organised on 31 October 2020 in Index Department Of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences. Dr.Reshma Khurana, Principal of Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences had taken initiative of this program.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. Breast cancer affects a large population of women today. Not just women, it can affect men too. Early diagnosis can help fight the cancer effectively.

Dr. Saurabh lal was the resource person of this program enlightened about the breast cancer. All the faculty members were present in this program and students were also present.

Program ended with positive notes.
