The Index department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences successfully organised a session and educated the students on how to be mentally fit and to stay in happy spirits. During the session Dr.Reshma Khurana , Principal , Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences , Faculties and students of Physiotherapy and all the Paramedical courses were present during the session . The session include meditation practice and yoga practice and the students have also been taught to practice this as a routine to enhance their mental health.
The aim of World Mental Health Day is to create awareness about mental health issues across the students & inspire to support the cause of mental health. The celebration ensured that Students get a new insight about mental health.
Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, Malwanchal University, Indore successfully organized a workshop on Friday and Saturday (30/09/22 and 01/10/22) on the topic "Two days hands on workshop of Cancer Rehabilitation".
The workshop was executed by the resource person Dr.Shailendra Mehta , Principal Department of Physiotherapy, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth University, Udaipur & Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist, TATA memorial hospital, Bombay & Lymphoedema Training Academy (UK).
Dr.Reshma Khurana (Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences) , the resource person Dr. Shailendra Mehta, Dr.Sakina Kanchwala senior physiotherapist and all the respected faculties initiated the function with the lamp lighting.
Dr.Shailendra Mehta addresses cancer and the incidence, causes, and reason behind the no of cases growing regularly.
Day 1 of the workshop includes the rehabilitation protocols and management of patients physically and psychologically.Bandaging in the lower limb and upper limb in the condition of lymphoedema also teaches the Manual technique for lymphatic drainage in various conditions of Cancer.
Day 2 of the workshop includes basic breast cancer management and manual lymphatic drainage. Participants get lots of time for practicing all the techniques and bandaging
The participants kept their queries related to the techniques and get clarity towards it by Dr.Shailendra Mehta.
The workshop ends with the certificate distribution among the participants.
