Ragging in any form is banned inside and outside the campus.
Strict action will be taken against the defaulters.
No leniency will be shown to the offenders. Suspension and or withdrawal from the hostel/ college is one of the actions taken promptly.
HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION:
Air conditioned and Non-Air conditioned hostel accommodation –
In case a student goes out of the college/hostel without permission. he/she is expelled from the hostels.
if he/she remains out of the hostel beyond the permitted timings, his/her hostel strict action will be taken.
It is mandatory for all resident students to dine at the hostel mess.
Hostel accommodation is allotted to a student, subject to a written concurrence of the parent that his/her ward would respect the written and verbal instructions and the rules concerning the stay in the hostel allocated by the college authorities from time to time. In case of a serious infringement of the hostel rules/instructions or a gross violation of the hostel decorum, students are likely to be expelled from the hostel.
Requests to group together brothers/sisters, closely related students, ex-schoolmates or students coming from the same city/locality, may be considered, but on a case-to-case basis.
Rooms once allotted will not be changed except under very special circumstances. Rooms are allotted for the whole Academic Year.
Supervision and CONTROL:
Authority to Supervise and Control the students residing in various hostels shall rest with the Warden/Chief Warden.
The College reserves the right to expel a resident student from the hostel if his/her stay in the hostel is continuously proving to be detrimental to the peace and tranquility of the other fellow resident students.
A disciplinary action shall normally be resorted to only after due warnings to the student concerned. Parents will be kept informed about the same.
In cases of gross acts of indiscipline, like indulgence in disorderly behaviour, violence towards other residents, drunkenness, use of drugs, wanton damage to hostel property, unauthorized or unexplained overnight absence and other acts amounting to the disturbance of peace and order in the hostel, a student may be summarily expelled from the hostel.
DAMAGE to Hostel PROPERTY:
Students should check their furniture, furnishings, fittings, amenities, auxiliaries and other items issued to them at the time of occupying the room.. Failing this, the hostel Warden would not give them the 'No-Dues' clearance.
Any loss or damage to the hostel property namely buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture, amenities, ancillaries and other items issued to the residents will have to be made good at the expense of the occupants of the room or that of the person to whom the items were issued or occupants of the block as the case may be.
Willful damage to hostel property including defacing of walls, doors, windows furniture items etc would be considered as breach of discipline and will be dealt with appropriately.
Cleanliness in the HOSTEL:
Residents are responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of their rooms at all times. The Chief Warden/Warden and faculty will have full liberty to inspect the students' accommodation frequently and initiate appropriate action against those whose rooms are found to be in a dirty, unkempt or in a disorderly state. All waste materials must be consigned to the bins provided for the purpose.
