Dry Needling Workshop

Dr. Reshma Khurana , Principal, Index Department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences always try to add up skills to their students so that they will be a good in their respective fields.

2 days hands on Workshop of Dry Needling for chronic pain relief and Sports injuries(Basic and advanced )" was successfully conducted by the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, Malwanchal University,Indore on 22/02/23 and 23/02/23.

Dr. Richa Singh was the resource person where she introduced basics about the Dry Needling practice, techniques, Indication and Contraindications. She taught about each condition and particular muscles of the body and the techniques to use dry needling on it.

Day 1 of the workshop she covered the Upper limb region injuries which includes all the muscles in the upper limb.

Day 2 of the workshop included the Lower limb muscles and facial region.

The students learnt about the techniques of dry needling therapy on the lower limb and facial region muscles Students got time for practicing all the techniques of using dry needling therapy with one on one practice by Dr. Richa Singh.

The workshop ends with the closing ceremony in which the thank you momento has given to Dr. Richa Singh and certificate distribution has done among the participants.

Thank you to Dr.Reshma Khurana ma'am for providing us the platform and the opportunity to learn these great techniques on Dry Needling Therapy.

During the Workshop Dr.Arpita Mishra, Assistant Professor and Dr.Payal Jain, Assistant Professor of Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences were also present.

The Event was coordinated by Dr.Vaishali Patel , Assistant Professor Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences.

Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences , Malwanchal University, Indore celebrated advance International Women’s Day on 6th March 2023.

The highlights of the program were the amazing performances given by the students and bible like words from Respected Dr. Reshma Khurana ,Principal IDOPT.

Dr Reshma Khurana ma’am put light on the fact that everyone is aware about what is wrong in the society with respect to the women and also that women are not always the victims. She said that it’s better to understand that neither of the two (male and female) are superior to each other instead they both are equal. According to her, the term “𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒇” should be kept as “𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒂”.

Hence, realising the quote aforementioned that the women are natural peacemakers. Program ended with the cake cutting ceremony and commemorative photographs.




Youth Mahapanchyat By Hon'able CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

A college is a place where the youth is full of dreams and aspirations and Index department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences has always come forward to realize those dreams of the youth by helping them in different means.

An endeavour by MP government called ‘Youth Mahapanchayat’ is administered and Dr. Reshma Khurana , Principal, Index department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences left no chance of getting it missed by the students. She makes sure that every student of the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical sciences attends the virtual broadcast of the meeting and claim the benefits associated.

The department made necessary preparations to make ‘Youth Mahapanchayat’ live broadcast a helpful medium for providing awareness of benefits of various schemes related to youth. The new youth policy of the state came out on March 23 via the program conducted. The live broadcast proved itself to be important from the point of view of the welfare of the youth.

This ‘youth Mahapanchayat’ got broadcasted live from Motilal Nehru studium, Bhopal. Honourable chief guest of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan addressed the event as the chief guest. And all students and Faculties was present.
