Diabetes Day Celebration, 2022

First ever initiative by Index Department of Physiotherapy & Paramedical Sciences Malwanchal University, Indore for BMLT , DMLT students to celebrate World Diabetes Day 2022.

Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal , Index Department Of Physiotherapy & Paramedical Sciences has always been at the forefront of providing healthcare services to the public.

Diabetes is a chronic illness that can cause blindness, heart disease, and kidney diseases, among other serious complications. To improve diabetes management, prevent complications, and enhance the quality of life, it is imperative to raise the awareness levels of access to diabetes care. On the basis of that, we had given a free screening camp.

This Camp was organized at Novelty market, Jail road in association with Pathkind laboratory Indore for awareness on diabetes on the occasion of world diabetes day 14 Nov 2022.

The Diabetes Camps program is designed to help enhance the quality of life for young people living with diabetes. This camp will help participants expand their diabetes management skills and increase knowledge of the disease.

This Camp was organized Free of cost for the people, Our students of Paramedical college Collected the blood sugar sample of more then 400 individuals

Highlights of the Camp:
* Free Sugar Test
* Free Blood Glucose Level Test
* Free Sugar Post Pendal

40 students of BMLT and DMLT collected sample and spread awareness for diabetes And the faculties of Index Paramedical College Dr.Vaishali Patel and Dr.shivi trivedi were there for guidance and support for the students from BMLT and DMLT.

The Students Shared there Experience That The camp was a very good opportunity for them to work on field and also student got the recognition by the resource person, all the students put there efforts to make this camp a successful event.

The Camp drive was successfully conducted and the students of Paramedical sciences gave their full efforts, it also boosted there confidence of practice.




Wheelchair Tournament at Emerald International School

Emerald Heights International school, Indore organised the wheelchair tournament every year in which the Physiotherapy Support Were Provided By Students of Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical sciences under the guidance of Respected Principal Dr Reshma Khurana.




Pneumonia Day Celebration, 2022

"By creating more awareness about pneumonia, we can save many lives and bring smiles to many more faces"

World Pneumonia Day is a global event which is observed every year on the 12th November by the WHO, UNICEF and other international organizations to spread awareness about the combat Pneumonia disease.

Pneumonia is one of the world’s biggest infectious killers. According to WHO, the lives of around 2.5 million people every year. It is the deadliest and oldest disease among the children group, especially those aged less than 5 yrs old and older than 50.

World Pneumonia Day was established in 2009 by the global coalition against child Pneumonia under the "Stop Pneumonia initiative".

The theme of this year of World Pneumonia Day 2022 is "Pneumonia affects everyone". This year awareness campaign will be conducted titled "Pneumolight 2022" to make people to participate in campaign and support each other to eradicate Pneumonia.

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences organized a seminar on the topic of “Present scenario of Pneumonia in the world and role of Physiotherapy rehabilitation" under the guidance of Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal Index Department of physiotherapy and paramedical sciences. All the students of BPT 4th year and BPT 3rd year was present Students of B.P.T 4th year presented the seminar and they covered the present scenario of Pneumonia in the world, shared some knowledge about Pneumonia and demonstrated the exercises for the Pneumonia adults. They have also demonstrated special techniques and exercises for neonatal pneumonia patients.

At the end of the session the students have the Q&A session where all the students ask the question and share their experiences in the clinical setting.

It was an interactive and interesting session for the students.
